  • S7 E6: umasked. ADHD. women.
    Jun 24 2025
In today's episode Clara Healing Institute founder and clinical director Kristin Belkofer hosts a group of women to talk about life with ADHD. Kristin breaks down the diagnosis and the experience lived by many women, easing the stigma through greater understanding. She frames ADHD as a spectrum that can change with support over a lifetime and not a deficit or disorder, that it is about modulation and regulating, and a type of brain structure. Our circle of women shares what ADHD means to them as mothers, entrepreneurs, and women in middle life. They talk about the process of unmasking ADHD, how it is often missed in women, how it presents differently in men vs. women, the relationship to anxiety and depression, diagnosis later in life, and what they label means to them.

  • S7 E5: kids. BODIES. boundaries.
    May 21 2025
In this episode, Theresa is joined by a circle of moms we love (Element, Krista, and Meagan) and Alie Kriofske Mainella, a counselor specializing in sexual health education and psychology who leads educational sessions in schools. Together, they engage in a thoughtful and honest conversation about how they’re talking with their kids about their bodies and sexual health. This is a sensitive and sometimes uncomfortable topic, but one the group explores with curiosity, vulnerability, and mutual respect.

Alie offers professional insight into how she approaches these conversations with kids, focusing on body awareness, personal safety, and keeping open lines of communication. The moms share their own experiences, questions, and challenges, creating a rich dialogue that touches on age-appropriate language, why using correct anatomical terms matters, how gender is nuanced, and how to move through common parental fears. They also offer ideas for feeling more prepared—and less awkward—when navigating these essential conversations.

This episode is intended for adult listeners only.

  • S7 E4: highly. SENSITIVE. divorce.
    Apr 16 2025
In today’s episode, we’re diving into the unique challenges faced by highly sensitive women navigating the emotional complexities of parenthood and divorce. Sue Bruckner, a licensed professional counselor and relationship coach for highly sensitive women talks with us about the importance of identifying our values, establishing self-compassion, and creating change from a place of love. Being highly sensitive often means feeling deeply, processing emotions with intensity, and having a heightened awareness of others' feelings—traits that can make a difficult life transition even more overwhelming. But despite the challenges, sensitivity can also be a powerful tool for healing and self-discovery. Today, we’ll discuss the emotional demands of divorce, how sensitivity impacts the process, and ways to embrace your emotional landscape during this transformative time. Whether you’re currently going through a divorce, have been through one, or just want to understand how to support someone who is, this episode is for you.
