Jake Anders never expected the latest VR game to transport him to a real-life fantasy world. It's the first thing he must come to terms with in Eldoria: this is no game. The stakes are real. Death is real. The women are real. And so is the magic. Jake is a Monster Master, a powerful mage capable of taming and commanding monsters in battle. Jake must use his newfound magic and Earth-smarts to bring peace and prosperity to the land—and he's not afraid to take down a tyrant or two in the process, bond with an elf or three, and tame a horde of monsters.

Jake Anders, the Monster Master, has vanquished the Void King and seized control over his domain. However, new challenges arise: other Travelers have entered this world, all of them as formidable and canny as he, and an ancient malevolent entity of corruption has awakened, seeking to blanket all of existence with its foulness.

Jake Anders is the Monster Master, a mage of godlike power who has saved the realm of Elwyn time and again. First from the Void King, then once more from the monstrous entity known as V’galmor. For his efforts, the Elfmother has decided to grant rulership of her realm to him, but she is slain by an assassin shortly after voicing her decision. As the reluctant King of the North, Jake Anders must now secure his realm, rally his allies, Capture more Monsters, and heighten his magical prowess, if he wishes to stand a chance at all against the Empress of the Dark Elves and her mighty army.
