A ship stranded halfway across the galaxy. A difficult and lengthy journey home. A homeworld in urgent need of their return. And now they are running out of food. The Free Fleet has captured two of the largest assets ever created, but those they took them from will not give them up without a fight. Unfortunately, there is only one way to shake the pursuit, and their enemy knows this. The Free Fleet is about to face their biggest battle yet, and the odds will not be in their favor.

The Dusahn have been backed into a corner, barely able to hold the worlds of the Pentaurus cluster, let alone the entire sector. Forced to dig in, they may have to resort to drastic measures to save their fledgling empire. Captain Scott must use all his military and diplomatic skills to prepare his forces for the final assault on the Dusahn Empire. But he cannot do it alone. He needs help, and lots of it.

Someone is cleaning up the badlands, removing the major pirate clans from the most developed worlds. Captain Scott and the Free Fleet must determine who is behind the liberations, and if they are an ally, or just another threat to humanity.

Before they can challenge the Dusahn and prevent them from expanding their empire further, the Karuzari must first gather much-needed resources. But doing so could be more difficult than anticipated.

The Expedition-class ships have reached their destination . . . Jorim Perona has been resurrected, and is looking for payback. With his advanced warship, the Vengeance, he is out to repatriate his fleet, or destroy them. But his main focus is on the Aurora, and her captain. And he'll sacrifice everything to destroy them.

The Korsan have declared themselves an empire, and have their sights set on the destruction of the Free Fleet. Now, Nathan Scott must figure out how to hold the Korsan fleet at bay while they repair their ships and get their newly acquired battle platforms out of danger.

The Human Galactic Empire has begun its annexation of the Alliance, and they are using tactics for which the rest of the galaxy are unprepared. Unfortunately, the Free Fleet is caught in the middle of it all, and if they do not stop the empire now, there will be no stopping them later.

Nathan Scott must use all his cunning to save not only his own world, but the worlds of his friends and his enemies. But to do so, he must make a deal with the devil and risk everything on a fight no one believes he can win. 

The Dusahn Empire has been contained for the moment. But there is much work to be done in order to keep them from reasserting their dominance over the Pentaurus sector. As much as Captain Scott wants to see the Empire destroyed, he may have no choice but to find a way to coexist with them.

The Free Fleet now has a powerful partner in the Ghatazhak. Together, they will finally be able to bring peace and prosperity to the fringe, and beyond.

The Free Ship Aurora has taken on a new responsibility: To protect even those who do not ask to be protected. But to do so, they will have to take an ambitious, against incredible odds....
