From the age of three, I was obsessed with tutus, leotards, pointe shoes and everything that dancing had to offer. After years of hard work, sweat and tears, I finally was able to make the dreams of the little girl in me come true. Years later, I'm dancing for one of the most respected companies in the world, leaving out a dream and living the best life that I could have ever imagined. Everything was going according to how I'd mapped it out. Except . . .I hadn't mapped out two little blue lines skating into my life after a one-night stand.

The majority of my life has centered around one thing and one thing only. Hockey. Being the daughter of a player, I know the ins and outs of the sport. Including the hurt that can come with it. I've grown to hate it. That hate runs so deep that when a player steps into my life in a towel, I do everything I can to hate him too. After a few summer nights, though, it starts to become impossible.

When it comes to my name, everyone thinks that they know who I am. To some people, I'm the billionaire that just got named CEO of his family's company and has all the money in the world. To others, I'm the guy that opened up his home to his brother's children and raised them as his own. What they don't know is while I am those things, I'm also something else. Something darker. Something more corrupt and I will stop at nothing to get my hands on what I want.

From the age of five, I knew one thing: Blake Jacobi was going to be in my life for a very long time. For years, he was my protector, my best friend, my shoulder to cry on. I should be proud of my heritage and wear it on my back with honor. I’ll honor my heritage but I will not honor the path that is set out for me. The life that my father lives is not for me. I will do anything in my power to walk away from that life, and that apparently includes getting married in Vegas after a night of drinking.

I had one job and one job only. Bring down the most notorious drug lord known to man. Dead or alive, that was it. As I worked the case more and more, the lines started getting blurred. I made enemies where I wasn’t supposed to and friends in places that would get me killed. Then I met her, at a bar in Brooklyn of all places. She became the one thing in my life that was a constant, the one thing that made the dark hole I was in, as bright as could be.

She was a Cartel Princess. I was a soldier. A helping hand. A life that didn’t matter. None of that stopped me from falling in love with her the first time I laid eyes on her. This Cartel Princess was everything to me. And I was able to show her, but only in secret.
