I can't take it anymore. This curse, this undead curse… It makes it so every moment is nothing but pure torment. I need to keep busy, to take my mind off of it and alleviate the pain. More than that, I need to find a way to rebuild my powers after I was tricked by my own allies, slain, and...

My end goal's been the same from day one, and that is to build my Merchant Empire. Although I've now become the new Governor of Karlton—a position I had to accept to appease the King and keep Lord Reinley in power—unfortunately, that did nothing to advance my plans. What I need is to unlock the Merchant Class, but the requirements are steep to say the least. If I do have the infrastructure needed, as well as the levels, I'm far from generating enough revenue to qualify. And that's a bummer because I'm currently sitting on a good chunk of XP that I saved for after I've gained my new class.

I can't believe it! I've really been accepted into the Royal Scouts? For real? It's a dream come true for a farm boy like myself, to gain access to the Portal Halls and be able to explore the worlds beyond. More than that, it means I can finally provide for my family. After all, they're the ones who put their savings on the line so I could get a chance to join this prestigious guild. And if I may be at a disadvantage compared to other recruits, as all I know is how to grow beans, I plan on boosting my skills as soon as possible.

After a brush with death that almost cost me everything, I managed to expose Izguril's machinations and imprison the usurper god within me. Now, with no more immediate threats to my survival, I wish that I could take some time to rest, but I can't. With so much firepower between these five, they should make short work of the dungeon, right? Right? But what starts as a routine delve quickly turns into a nightmare.

For any regular chump, this might have seemed like the worst time to resurface, but I’ve lived a long life, and where others see peril, I see opportunity.
