• SZN 10 EP 16 - Wes Piatt Talks WeBUS / Helping Dads Across the Country Overcome Life Challenges with Like Minded People / Using MarcoPolo Application to Connect
    Apr 27 2026

Thank you to Wes for joining T.O.C.'s podcast once again. Wes is a United States Air Force Veteran and Fire Fighter, who founded WeBUS.

WeBUS is a community of like-minded dads from across the country who come together to share experiences and support one another through life's challenges. Founded by Wes Piatt, who personally understands the struggles of dealing with childhood trauma, military service, and first responder stress, WeBUS is a beacon of hope and camaraderie.

Instead of offering unsolicited advice, WeBUS DUDES share their personal experiences. This approach ensures that members receive genuine wisdom from those who have walked similar paths, free from the often unhelpful "bro advice" that can be so prevalent. By sharing stories and experiences, we empower each other to navigate life's rough seas and curate the tools and insights that resonate most with our individual journeys.

  • SZN 10 EP 9 - David Edwards w/ Call For Backup / Ret. Wellness Officer / Reserve Sgt. & Public Safety Chaplain / First Responder Suicide Awareness and Prevention Campaign
    Mar 6 2026

David Edwards shares his journey from personal tragedy to leading mental health initiatives for first responders. We discuss the importance of resilience, peer support, and proactive mental health strategies to reduce suicide rates among first responders.

The Call For Backup Suicide Awareness and Prevention Campaign is built upon the principle that peers are best suited to help one another. The stigma of seeking help for stress-related issues, and departments’ seeming lack of support, have caused many first responders to continue to suffer needlessly.

Got to https://callforbackup.org/ to learn more!

A huge thank you to our podcast sponsor Brain Performance Technologies.
