  • Gilmore Girls S02E22 “I Can't Get Started” | Season 2 Cliffhanger
    Jul 14 2026

In this episode, we are diving deep into the massive, emotional, and drama-packed Season 2 Finale, "I Can't Get Started"! We are officially two-sevenths of the way through the series, and Cary is feeling pretty smug because a lot of his finale predictions were completely spot-on. We start things off by brainstorming some much-needed alternative episode titles, including "Wedding Kilt", "Chris Sucks" (spelled with an X, obviously), and the classic coded phrase "Oy with the Poodles Already," which finally explains the design on our merch!

Then, we unpack all the pre-wedding chaos. Sookie is putting herself through the absolute ringer by executive-chef catering her own 40-person wedding. Worse? Her walk-down-the-aisle song playlist is a literal depression fest featuring "Hey Jude", "Seasons in the Sun", and "Cat's in the Cradle," which spirals into a debate about what our own wedding walk-down songs would be (spoiler: Cary picks Nine Inch Nails). We also talk about the high-society awkwardness of Emily and Richard realizing they got a last-minute "pity invite" to the wedding, the etiquette of checking the dinner box on formal invitations, and why you should always bring a bag of ice to a party.

Over at Luke’s Diner, Dean and Rory are playing the cute "forcefully switching breakfasts" game, while Lorelai tries to bust out a terrible donut rhyme to break the ice with an incredibly cold, distant Luke. Up at Chilton, Paris Gellar delivers a passionate student body speech that gets literal crickets from her peers. We talk about the tragic real-world accuracy of her "likability polling issue" despite being the most qualified candidate on paper, and how she hilariously strong-arms Rory onto her ticket by dangling the ultimate carrot: Harvard.

Finally, we address the elephant in the room: Christopher Hayden. From dropping cringe dad jokes at Rory's cast-removal appointment to acting like a total small-town snob at the wedding rehearsal, Chris is on our absolute last nerve. We rant heavily about his wishy-washy, non-committal "Sherry and I are taking time apart" speech, Lorelai's total lack of boundaries in gossiping about it to Rory, and that infuriatingly tight couch-nestling moment that led to the kiss. To wrap it all up, post-boots-knocking Lorelai has to talk a wedding-dress-wearing Sookie down from a full-blown existential baking panic attack.

  • Gilmore Girls S02E21 “Lorelai's Graduation Day” | Rory Ditches Chilton for New York
    Jul 7 2026

Welcome back, Gilmore Friends! Today, Chemda and Carrie are diving headfirst into Season 2, Episode 21, "Lorelai's Graduation Day". It’s a milestone episode that had Carrie saying "wow" and both hosts tearing up in real time.

Lorelai is finally finishing school, but she's determined to keep her parents out of the loop to avoid triggering old family heartbreaks. Rory has other plans, though, and steps up to deliver an authoritative, tough-but-fair invitation to Emily and Richard over an intensely micro-managed English tea time. But the real chaos kicks in when Jess rings Rory from a long-distance payphone. In a completely un-Rory-like burst of impulsivity, she cuts school and hops a Greyhound bus to Manhattan just to see him. From grabbing New York City hot dogs and tracking down Jess in Washington Square Park to the crushing panic of a stalled local bus back home, Rory completely misses the big graduation ceremony!

Meanwhile, back in Connecticut, Lorelai’s big moment on stage becomes an unforgettable tear-jerker when she looks out and sees Emily and Richard beaming with pure pride (and a full camera crew managed by the legendary extra, Raul). The episode wraps up with an intense, emotional confrontation on the porch, where Rory demands to be grounded and Lorelai drops the ultimate truth bomb: "Maybe you're falling for Jess."

Plus, we’ve got some incredible behind-the-scenes trivia for you today, including why Seth MacFarlane popped up in a bickering community college scene, the mystery of the recurring Hollywood prop newspaper, and Raul’s real-life Hollywood crossovers! We are officially one episode away from the Season 2 finale, and the predictions are flying. Will Suki and Jackson’s wedding go off without a hitch? Will Rory and Dean finally call it quits?

  • Gilmore Girls S02E15 “Lost and Found” | The Bracelet Drama
    May 26 2026

Grab a cup of coffee and pull up a chair, because Chemda and Carrie are diving deep into Gilmore Girls Season 2, Episode 15, "Lost and Found"! Carrie is watching the series for the very first time, and this episode unearths a centuries-long fandom argument that still divides viewers to this day.

We’re breaking down the town's chaotic energy, starting with Lorelai’s bizarre superhero logic after a gutter-cleaning accident , her highly entitled princess behavior over Luke's pancakes , and the utter disarray of Jess’s sudden permanent move into Luke's studio. Plus, we share a major laugh over Ms. Patty’s intense, cigarette-wand-waving walking group and question the logistics of teenagers living completely parent-free.

But the real meat of the episode lies in the romance department. We analyze the undeniable spark and witty banter between Rory and Jess as she stumbles all over her words , compare it to poor Dean being written as an oaf at the book fair , and tackle the infamous "toxic" debate surrounding Rory's missing bracelet. Did Jess steal it? Did he know it was Dean’s? And is Dean actually overbearing, or just an unregulated teenager treating a handmade bracelet like a wedding ring?

We also take a quick detour to read some amazing internet love from our listener Fembotiful and debate the ultimate Chinese food ordering strategy avoiding vegetables at all costs.

What side of the great bracelet debate are you on? Drop your thoughts in the comments below, read along with us, and don't forget to hit that subscribe button to support the pod for free!
