Cape Verde has had a fairytale story during its first appearance at the World Cup, making it to the knockout round. But its team captain, Ryan Mendez, is now being investigated by New Zealand police on rape allegations. A Brazilian woman working as an interpreter for the National team says Mendez forcibly raped her in a hotel room in March and claims she has medical and photographic proof of the assault. Cape Verde plays Argentina on Friday with Mendez as its star player, and as of this recording, there is no announced disciplinary action against the Mendez aa New Zealand officials continue to investigate the allegations.

All eyes were on a South Carolina courthouse today as 58-year-old Alex Murdaugh once again faces double murder charges for the shooting deaths of his wife and son. Murdaugh’s attorneys had him stand dramatically making the point his appearance as a convicted criminal could taint a potential jury pool. Hear how the new judge ruled on everything from what Murdaugh can wear in court, to a new DNA testing request, to a change of venue motion. Last month, the Supreme Court threw out Murdaugh’s 2023 double murder conviction after a court clerk unfairly tainted jurors during the trial.

Casa Amor bombshell Alannah Keyser issued an on-camera apology after being kicked out of the villa for a newly resurfaced video showing her singing the N word. Her apology is actually a lesson in how not to apologize. Keyser used the old “it was never my intention” and “if you were offended” lines coupled with a vague denial of screen shots showing her using the n-word. What started off as a cute story line, the budding bromance between Zach and Bryce, has now become downright confusing. Each episode, the two get more and more physical with one another, even simulating sex. Zach has dry humped Bryce on more than one occasion, Bryce has shown Zach his penis; they’ve shared lounge chairs and even held hands at one point. In the most recent episode, Zach threw a cake in Trintiy’s face for being jealous of his and Bryce’s cozy relationship. What a gutting way to open the episode, showing Aniya on the ground sobbing over KC, Melanie by her side, while the Casa Amor ladies laugh and scoff at Aniya’s emotional reaction. Thankfully, and surprisingly, throughout the episode we see the Villa girls and the Casa Amor girls actually put aside their differences and apologize for bad behavior. But things got sticky literally and figuratively during the cake challenge, with Megan Thee Stallion hosting the game looking fierce, and speaking truth to the boys! It all ends with the surprise we saw coming, Carl and Amora are back, and ready to stir up everything!

A California couple vacationing in Puerto Vallarta leapt into action after hearing a man screaming in the ocean in front of their resort. The tourists jumped into a kayak to try and save the 28-year-old who was being attacked by a crocodile, but the creature eventually pulled him underwater. The man’s body wasn’t found until the following morning, but in meantime, the couple says they were shocked to see the beach remain open and families swimming in the same waters where the attack happened hours earlier.

The once prominent low country lawyer accused of murdering his wife and son, is back in court this morning, preparing for a new trial. 59-year-old Alex Murdaugh remains behind bars after pleading guilty to state and federal financial crimes, but he maintains his innocence in the murders of his family. There will be cameras in the courtroom as his lawyers fight for more DNA testing, a change of venue and despite a lengthy back and forth with prosecutors, we will likely see Murdaugh shackled, in his prison issued jumpsuit.
