Tony Perez is a retired Chief Warrant Officer 3 (CW3) with 37 years of combined U.S. military service, including 12 years as a Criminal Investigation Division (CID) Special Agent. His career took him to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba Afghanistan, and the Pentagon, where he served on the Secretary of Defense's executive protection detail. He holds an MS in Cybersecurity from the Florida Institute of Technology and a BA in Public Administration from Barry University, and currently works in corporate security and national security in the defense industry. Perez is the author of Know the Threat: A Citizen's Guide to Recognizing and Defending Against Modern Threats, which translates the U.S. Intelligence Community's Annual Threat Assessment into plain language for everyday Americans. He also writes the James Chase military thriller series — The Delta Mission, The Dragon and the Eagle, and Cuba Libre — grounded in the operational realities of modern warfare and intelligence work, and authors the Selling Options for Income series on options trading and retirement income strategy. Perez resides in Florida.
