ME I was born 1953 and raised in southern New Jersey (Philadelphia area). A difficult, though musical child, I ran away, quit school, and was recruited into Scientology but at 18, after returning from a solo trip to England, accepted Christ and soon attended Youth with a Mission, graduating in 1973. At 17, I discovered I had a 2nd cousin with the same name attending a nearby high school. Soon, we were playing in a band together. Today, cousin Sam is also a published author in psychology. Publicly, he is "Sam Alibrando" and publicly, I am "Samuel J Alibrando". On the internet, if you are looking for me, always use "SAMUEL J ALIBRANDO". WRITING When the 1st edition of "Nature Never Stops Talking" was published in 2005, I was living about an hour from Yosemite National Park. My book was edited excerpts from local newspaper contributions I made from1992-2001. The improved 2nd edition book, eBook or audiobook, is recommended. Tragically widowed in 2008, life became unbearably foreign, but the familiar made it worse. After 15 months of awkward emptiness, I flew to the Philippines. Somehow, though everything around me was foreign, it felt easier. I also found great affection for the poor, smiling, and warm-hearted Filipino people. While doing outreaches, teaching, and music in the Phillippines, I also married Myra in 2010, whom I met at CSM (Church Strengthening Ministries). As I continued writing, I also produced more than 1,000 short radio segments broadcast nationwide on the Philippines "Master's Touch" classical FM music station which still airs today, Mon-Fri. FAMILY & WORK Today, I am proud of my 5 grown children (Ryan, Sean, Nettie, Jonathan, Simeon) and 15 grandchildren, all in the United States. Also proud of my Filipino stepson, Angelo who was 13 when we met and now 29. I definitely could brag more about all of them. I sustain my unpaid work in the Philippines through my Medicare business in mostly California, but also Texas, New Jersey, Georgia, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Indiana, Michigan, and South Carolina. MUSIC I have been composing music since I was 8 (1961) and done some songwriting workshops before the lockdowns. Song samples are online.
