Michael Lieberman is a poet, fiction writer, and former research physician. My most recent poetry collection is Giving Death The Old Soft Shoe, 2022. My new collection, The Amplitude Of Disquiet, is now up on Amazon. The fifty-seven poems that comprise it are deeply personal. Written in 2025 and early 2026, the poems live in questions, disquiet, hope, and despair. In them, I try to capture the beauty and wonder of the world, even as I know darkness awaits me. Humor, always at the ready, leavens them. My wife and I live in the La Jolla section of San Diego. We have two sons, two daughters-in-law and five grandchildren. We enjoy spending time together with family and friends, reading, exercise, music, plays, and movies. .
