Mariana Mijares is a journalist and writer. She studied Communications at Universidad Iberoamericana, where she specialized in movies and TV. Her career began at Reforma newspaper, and since then, she has collaborated with more than twenty national and international outlets including Cosmopolitan, Esquire, Milenio, National Geographic, Time Out, Volaris, and Travel + Leisure. Passionate about travel, film, theater, and food, Mariana writes from airports, cafés, and hotel rooms; turning real-life moments into stories. Her debut book: Fifty Dates and Other Disasters, is inspired by her real-life experience navigating the worlds of Tinder and Bumble; a journey as chaotic as it is entertaining, exploring what it means to learn, grow, and connect in the digital age.
