Born in the heart of northern Germany, I have always loved both the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. Even though I’ve travelled widely and spent several years living abroad, I suppose I will always remain a true “child of the North”. Something kept pulling me back, and now I once again live in the land “between the seas”. It’s no surprise that many of my novels—especially those in my RODIWANA series—carry a distinctly Nordic tone. You’ll find Northmen, Gillfolk, and whalers woven into their pages. I illustrated the entire Rodiwana series myself (only the e‑books do not include illustrations). I publish my novels under the author names Bente Amlandt and Lu C. Ohm.
