Kevin R. McClure is an author, professor, and speaker who has built a global audience for his analysis and practical advice to transform higher education organizations and leadership. He writes the popular advice column, Working Better, at The Chronicle of Higher Education, which combines his scholarly expertise with real-life examples to improve the higher education workplace. Kevin has taught graduate-level courses in higher education management, leadership, and finance for over ten years and currently serves as the Murphy Distinguished Scholar of Education and Associate Professor of Higher Education at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. He is frequently quoted in media outlets, such as The Hill, The Washington Post, Forbes, MarketWatch, USA Today, Money, and The Atlantic. Kevin's first solo-authored book, The Caring University: Reimagining the Higher Education Workplace after the Great Resignation, will be published by Johns Hopkins University Press in 2025.
