Keri Topouzian, DO is a physician, author, and proud Armenian-American born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. A specialist in functional and integrative medicine, he is married with four children. His grandparents immigrated separately to the United States in the early 1900s from four different villages in ancient Armenia — now part of Turkey — and their personal stories of survival, displacement, and resilience have shaped everything he writes. "If it weren't for fiction, I believe we would know very little about our world. A list of historic facts might come and go, but when our imaginations become involved, we learn. When we are able to place ourselves within the story and laugh or cry with the characters, we remember. Not many people know much about Armenia, its history or its people. I hope that this novel will open a small and interesting window into this culture. My culture." His debut novel A Perfect Armenian (2012) brought that heritage to life for readers around the world. Then came something different. Topouzian briefly lived and practiced medicine in Snowmass, Colorado — a place where the mountains feel ancient and the wilderness feels alive. That experience planted a seed. The Blood of Angels is the result: a relentless sci-fi fantasy thriller about engineered predators, ancient bloodlines, and one physician who discovers that some secrets have been buried for a reason — and others have been waiting to be found. Some authors write about what they know. Keri Topouzian writes about what he has lived.
