Garren Hilow is an entrepreneur, coach, and author who proves you don't need venture capital to build something great. In 2014, he co-founded the biotech company Abveris and scaled it — without outside investment — to a 190 million dollar exit eight years later, retaining majority ownership the entire way. Since then, he's coached more than 100 founders and CEOs across biotech, SaaS, healthcare, and construction on the lessons that built his company: how to pick the right idea, build a sales-forward team, lead through crisis, and exit on your own terms. Garren writes for the millions of would-be founders held back by fear, bad advice, or the belief that success requires giving up control. His mission is to clear the path so more people can build businesses that create lasting wealth and freedom — for themselves, their families, and their communities. He lives in the woods of Massachusetts with his wife Katie, two sons, and their dog Cooper.
