Donna Hauger is a lifelong educator, literacy advocate, and now, a storyteller of the caregiving journey. She began her career in classrooms across Minnesota and Germany, later guiding teachers nationwide as a literacy consultant and university instructor. Her passion has always been helping others find their voice—first through reading and writing, now through caregiving and reflection. When her husband was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, Donna’s world shifted. What began as quiet journaling became a lifeline—and eventually, a book. In Parkinson’s Caregiver: Strategies That Sustain, she shares her personal journey with honesty, grace, and practical wisdom for others walking a similar path. Today, Donna lives in Minnesota with her husband, Daryl. She continues to write, volunteer with young readers and writers, and offer hope to caregivers navigating the complexities of love, loss, and resilience.
