Thank you for visiting my Amazon Author Page. I'm a writer of cosy crime with sharp, humorous edges, though in my previous life was a magazine journalist before going freelance after the births of my twin son and daughter. These days, when I'm not frantically tapping away at my keyboard or schlepping around the country visiting my now grown-up children, you'll find me Park-running, up to my elbows in compost in my garden, or baking bread. My latest book is TELL TALE, published by Pan Macmillan on 23rd July 2026. A murder mystery set in Wales during the 1984 Miners' Strike, it's fast-paced, funny and poignant, with a host of relatable characters and plenty of twists. I hope you'll enjoy reading it as much as I loved writing it. My debut novel was also published by Pan Macmillan, back in 2024. The Final Hours of Muriel Hinchcliffe was summed-up by The People's Friend as 'A witty exploration of humanity,' while The Daily Mail described it as: 'Outrageously readable... The characterisation is spot-on and the deeper we get into this beautifully drawn portrait of their intensely complicated, often horrific friendship, the more shocking and compelling the narrative is... fabulous.' I now live in London, but grew up in Wales during the 70s and 80s. I share a house with my husband, my kids (when they're home) and two ridiculously overindulged moggies called Basil and Sybil, who rule over their human underlings with paws of iron in furry gloves. Exactly how it should be.
