Dr. Byron Jasper is a board-certified family medicine physician and Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Byja Clinic, the first Black-owned Direct Primary Care practice in Louisiana. A native of Houma, Louisiana, he earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and a Master of Public Health in Health Systems Management from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Jasper founded the Comprehensive Medical Mentoring Program and Byja Charitable Alliance, Inc., organizations dedicated to advancing health equity, education, and community service. He is an accomplished speaker who has presented nationally, including at the DPC Summit and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Annual Spring Conference. His work has been recognized with numerous honors, including Xavier University of Louisiana's 40 Under 40 Young Alumni Award.
