Amanda Owen is an author, filmmaker, and independent historian. She is the cofounder and executive director of the Justice Bell Foundation. She wrote and directed the documentary "Finding Justice: The Untold Story of Women’s Fight for the Vote," which premiered at the National Women’s History Museum and aired on PBS stations. In addition to her historical work, Owen is the author of "The Power of Receiving: A Revolutionary Approach to Giving Yourself the Life You Want and Deserve" and "Born to Receive: 7 Powerful Steps Women Can Take Today to Reclaim Their Half of the Universe," both published by Penguin Random House. Her new book, "The Justice Bell: Tracing the Journey of a Forgotten Symbol," published by the Justice Bell Foundation in December 2025, has received praise from Kirkus Reviews, Publishers Weekly, and historians, as well as appreciation from descendants of the women who carried the Bell in 1915.
