Gems Spy

Sixteen-year-old Emma is a talented actress who prefers the safety of the stage to her reality as a grieving daughter. Convinced her father’s fatal plane crash was sabotage rather than pilot error, she is approached by Mrs. B, a controller for a secret organization known as The Authority. To find justice, Emma joins The Gems, a team of teenage girls with extraordinary skills. Posing as Emma's wealthy entourage, the girls travel from the streets of Paris to the global seed vaults in Norway to uncover a terrifying plot to trigger a famine for profit.

When a new energy drink causes a rash of violence at their high-school, Miyuki and the Gems are sent to Japan to find out why. The visit forces Miyuki to see her father, now a senior executive of the company that produces Thunderdog. As Miyuki struggles with her family, the Gems uncover a dark trail of conspiracy, bigotry, and a diabolical plan that would see most of the great cities of the world burn.
