A Prayer of St Thomas More includes a reading of the eponymous prayer followed by beautiful piano music based on an original composition of Frederic Chopin. The piano composition includes Nocturne in G Minor, Op. 37 No. 1 - Andante sostenuto. The atmospheric middle sections of this nocturne are considered to be some of the most exquisite chord transitions ever composed. The minimalist simplicity of the opening and ending enhances the religious core of this piece.

The Beggar's Opera is a ballad opera written in 1728 by John Gay with music arranged by Johann Christoph Pepusch. The piece satirises Italian Opera, which had become popular in London, by telling a story of beggars, highwaymen and "women of the town" rather than the classical or mythological figures of grand opera. Elizabeth Drew Stoddard, née Barstow was a United States poet and novelist. She is most widely known today as the author of The Morgesons (1862), her first of three novels.
