As part of her school's community week, Kaitlyn visits her local animal shelter. There she falls in love with Teddy, a gorgeous whippet cross, who becomes the star of her project. When a boy in her class decides he wants to adopt Teddy, she realises how much she wants to keep Teddy herself. She isn't even excited about the surprise birthday outing her family have organised - until she finds herself at the shelter....

When Lillie spends the summer in Wales with her family, she can’t help but feel like the baby of the group. Her big sister Frankie would rather spend time with their older cousin Lana than play with her, and no one else seems to notice how lonely she is. Then during a boat trip, Lillie spots a young dolphin swimming alongside them and for a short while all her worries melt away.

The little cat has gorgeous black fur and so Elsa names him Pepper. Elsa is desperate to keep her lovely new kitten friend. Dad thinks Pepper belonged to the previous owner, but who would leave behind such a beautiful kitten?

Evie is so excited to spend her Christmas holiday in Lapland – they’re going to visit Santa, go on a reindeer sleigh ride and watch the Northern Lights. She’s even dreamed about seeing her favourite animal – the arctic fox. Evie’s parents say this is unlikely, though, as hunting has left the species endangered. But when she hears a strange whining noise in the middle of the night, she follows the sounds and discovers a little arctic fox caught in a trap. Can Evie rescue him in time?

Ava’s new kitten, Tiger, may be small but he makes up for it with his big personality and sense of adventure. As Tiger gets up to various escapades Ava finds herself coming to the rescue, even having to save the kitten from next-door’s dogs when Tiger climbs over the garden wall. Amelia and her family are walking their two dogs when disaster strikes and Poppet the puppy disappears during a game of fetch. After searching high and low, Amelia discovers that Poppet has fallen down an old mine and has no way of escaping. Amelia is so worried at the thought of Poppet all alone in the cold, dark mine, but can she find a way to get Poppet out safely?

Jack is having a hard time at school because he can’t read as well as the other children. One day, he visits the animal shelter with his sister and notices a nervous puppy called Daisy. He sits next to her while practising his reading. Jack keeps visiting Daisy at the shelter. As she gets more confident, Jack thinks she is ready to be adopted. But when another family takes an interest in Daisy, Jack is worried that he will lose his friend forever …

Isla loves hanging out at her best friend Hailey’s house, especially as Hailey has just got a gorgeous kitten, Silky! But someone isn’t so keen on the new arrival – the family’s old cat, Pickle. When Hailey’s family go away for the night, Isla offers to cat-sit. But to her surprise Silky is more timid than usual. The kitten is clearly terrified of Pickle, and Isla has to stop a fight between the two cats. How can Isla break the news to Hailey that her new kitten is so unhappy?

When Sophie meets Josephine - a macaroon-eating, tutu-wearing guinea pig who lives with her furry friends in the centre of Paris - she discovers that living in a new place is exciting and being friends with a guinea pig is the best adventure of all. Sophie loves her new guinea pig friend, but then she meets Josephine’s sister, Angelique, who is not nearly as friendly. In fact, the other guinea pig is positively mean!

Kate's grandfather has died and she's missing him desperately. Her Mum wants Kate to talk about it, but that only makes Kate angry. Granddad has gone and he's never coming back. At least she has her toy tiger, Amos, to keep her company. It was a present from Granddad, and somehow holding him close makes Granddad seem less far away. But she doesn't expect Amos to turn into a real tiger - a big, comforting, friendly tiger who smells of Granddad, and sounds like him too.

Hannah knows there is something special about the wooden bear cub puppet from the moment she buys it at a Christmas market. So when the puppet gets broken, she cries herself to sleep. Woken by a growling noise, she finds herself in a stable wearing strange old-fashioned clothes. Then she comes face-to-face with a real-life bear cub! The cub has been locked in ready to be put on show at the local market. Can Hannah return the bear to the wild and find a way back to her own time?
