Story2
Among radio comedy's most enduring features were its running gags - and few gags ran longer, or more hilariously, than the legendary feud between two of its great masters: Jack Benny and Fred Allen. For nearly 20 years the mere mention of Benny on an Allen program was guaranteed to produce an escalating laugh - just as bringing Allen up with Benny had listener in stitches at the mere anticipation of a response. This collection brings together the classic episodes that started it all, to the showdown that was supposed to end it once and for all.

Story1
The Fae spirit felt the great ship above it. There was so much love there, so much kinship. All who breathed on the ship had someone in their life that mattered. All, but one. That must be the one that the summoner meant. The spirit swam around the ship and gathered the heartbreak and sorrow from those who had lost. Then, it drew the sadness and pain away, as requested. It swam off, making a vacuum that would be filled with the caring it could sense was there.

'Sense of Humor' and 'Dream Street Rose' from The Damon Runyon Theatre Hour. Damon Runyon is acknowledged as one of the great writers to come out of 20th-century America. Runyon's short stories are almost always told in the first person by a narrator who is never named and whose role is unclear; he knows many gangsters and has no job that can be gleaned from his musings, nor does he admit to any criminal involvement; he’s a bystander, an observer, an average street-corner Joe.
