At the height of the Great Depression, thousands of families who have lost everything are left with no choice but to make the pilgrimage westward in search of a new life. The police then race against the clock to try and discover what the psychotic Paul has done with the object of his obsession. Or did she do something to him?

This is the final book of the trilogy - a fat monstrous volume of pure undiluted scarecrow terror.
