I've finally accepted my fate. I can't bury my head in the sand while vicious fiends threaten everything I care about. Even if protecting the beastly men I love means committing a betrayal more brutal than anything they've ever done. Even if getting a handle on my powers requires walking into the den of the most monstrous human beings I've ever known. I'll find the answers to defeating our enemies, whatever it takes. I'll find my way back to the life I was supposed to have.

Falling for the ghosts of murdered gangsters who were your imaginary friends once upon a time? I'll admit it's a little unusual. But they're back and totally real, and it's hard to argue with their admittedly obsessive level of devotion. Unfortunately, their violent dedication isn't enough to bring down the powerful man who hurt my little sister. I have to take matters into my own hands. I just wish I had a better grip on this marshy magic I've discovered in myself. 

A whole family of monsters has menaced my home for far too long. And in the battle to take them down, one of resurrected gangsters I love may have lost his life all over again. But my men have already survived one set of murders. I made it out of the looney bin and rescued my sister. We've proven we don't back down...even when maybe we should.

Just when a happily-ever-after with my Seelie men was within reach, the Heart of the Mists tied me to one of the foreboding winter arch-lords. I can't escape the connection between us. The enemy can speak from right within my soul. I'm not willing to give up on my happiness that easily, but I can't let the realms descend into all-out war. I'll brave the uncertainties of the winter lands if that's what it takes to protect the men I love.

I may have more enemies in my home than I ever imagined. My guys say they'll do anything for me, but they couldn't have been prepared for the twisted secrets of the witching world. Or for an old friend to unexpectedly show up in town with who knows what complications for our newfound connection.  

My men and I have fought the guardians who held us captive for so long. Refused to let them harness our powers yet again. But there's another villain lurking in the shadows. One who doesn't even pretend to care about anyone's interests other than his own.

The battle lines have been drawn. My fellow scions and I stand on one side and the power-hungry barons on the other. Neither I nor the guys I love are willing to let that happen, but with the barons throwing both laws and parental bonds aside, we're short on options. The fate of our world could come down to a literal battle for our lives - one I'm not sure we have any hope of winning.
