The Oxford Advanced Learner's dictionary defines a bully as someone who "frightens or hurts a weaker person". The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines a bully as "someone who frightens, hurts, or threatens smaller or weaker people”. Another dictionary defines bully as someone who “seeks to harm, intimidate, or coerce another person who is perceived as vulnerable” or gullible. Perhaps you could relate to children who are bullied or often picked on and sometimes beaten after school. The effects of bullying is felt universally and can be seen in all aspects of life.
