The Long Journey to Glory: My Side of the Jacksons’ Story seeks to finally set the record straight as to who discovered Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5. The book describes the truth about the real beginning of the Jackson singing group and Michael and their climb to fame. It will include the story of the Jacksons, from the family’s very meager beginning in Gary, Indiana, like it has never before been told.

Before she was an author of paranormal romance and urban fantasy novels, N. D. Jones was an educator. In her essay, she reflects on her 20-plus years as an educator in a field where most public school teachers and administrators are middle-class White women responsible for the academic future of more than 20 million students of color. Jones’ insights come from her years of facilitating cultural proficiency professional development for employees in a White-dominated public school system where all is supposed to mean all, yet racial inequity and disproportionality persist.

How food connects with success and life experience.

There is an underrepresentation of Blacks in technology, also referred to as the digital divide. However, the truth of the matter is that Black people throughout history have always contributed to technical advancement. The problem I want to solve is that the numbers of Blacks in technical jobs today are despairingly low. I believe that this is in part due to the contributions of Black people in tech being obfuscated. When you cannot see yourself in a role, you make the assumption that there is not place in tech for me.
