Majas Leben nimmt von heute auf morgen eine überraschende Wendung - und sie steht vor dem Nichts. Vorübergehend zieht sie bei ihren Freunden Ellen und Sascha ein. Dort ist sie nicht der einzige gern gesehene Gast: Auch Ellens gutaussehender Bruder Eric geht ein und aus. Obwohl es keine Geheimnisse mehr in ihrem Haus geben sollte, trifft Ellen die Entscheidung, Eric ein entscheidendes Detail über Majas Vergangenheit zu verschweigen. Maja und Eric kommen sich immer näher, aber Maja schafft es nicht, ihm die Wahrheit zu gestehen.

Seit ihrer Kindheit hassen Hippietochter Yuna und Nachbarssohn Tristan sich leidenschaftlich. Aufgewachsen in zwei baugleichen Häusern am Ende einer Sackgasse, konnten sie sich nur schwer aus dem Weg gehen. Als sie nach über fünf Jahren an den Weihnachtsfeiertagen erneut aufeinandertreffen, flammt die alte Feindschaft wieder auf. Doch Tristan hat kaum noch etwas von dem Jungen, dem Yuna mit acht Jahren die Nase brach. Auf einmal ist da dieses Knistern zwischen den beiden, das sie nicht länger ignorieren können.
