Das Motiv? Ein Rätsel. Aber klar dürfte sein, dass sich der Mörder noch im fahrenden Zug befindet. Doch niemand will etwas gesehen haben und alle Reisenden haben scheinbar wasserfeste Alibis. Zudem mischt sich auch noch eine alte Dame in seine Nachforschungen ein und bringt ihn zur Verzweiflung. Doch Mimi Rutherfurt lässt sich nicht stoppen.

Als er später durch Zufall auf den Fotos eines Touristen auftaucht, können sie sich kaum vorstellen, welche grausame Veränderung mit dem Mann vorgegangen sein muss. Doch Mimi kommt nicht nur hinter dieses Geheimnis, denn auf der Insel gehen noch weitere unheimliche Dinge vor: Voodoo!
