The Gospel of John is the fourth of the four canonical gospels. George Vafiadis spent over a year narrating the Bible. He would usually get up at three in the morning, check pronunciations and score the text for inflection, then spend three or four hours in the studio. This effort has made the InAudio Bible one of the best ever. George also narrated the Lincoln titles, which have received many awards. His career as an actor and director of Shakespeare and Greek classics spans over three decades. George now lives in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts, where he directs plays, acts in movies, and is writing his memoirs.

The Revised Geneva Translation (based on Shakespeare's favorite Bible translation) was borne of an actor's need to memorize and speak scripture out loud with specific meanings and inflections. It is a 21st century update of the very first widely distributed version of the Holy Bible in English, The Geneva Bible. Just as in all preceding centuries, Biblical text in the 1500’s was meant to be heard and seen, as much as read, because so many of those who received it were illiterate and needed to memorize it and speak it back to each other often in order to facilitate meditation.
