Ramana erzählt Yann und seinen Freunden Timeti und Auru die Legende vom Fischmann, einem erfolgreichen Perlentaucher, der angeblich stundenlang unter Wasser bleiben konnte. Yann, Timeti und Auru wollen das Geheimnis des Tauchers lüften und den Perlenschatz finden.

Die jungen Inselbewohner auf Maotou bereiten sich auf einen Speerwurf-Wettbewerb vor. Yann möchte auch gerne mitmachen, hat das Speerwerfen aber bisher noch nie trainiert. Auru versucht, Yann die Technik des Speerwerfens beizubringen, gibt aber bald genervt auf.

Papa Tuanaku und Taipuna haben nach einer Reise eine Lebensmittelvergiftung und jemand muss Papa Tuanaku als Dorfvorsteher vertreten. Ramana entscheidet sich erstaunlicherweise für Yann. Der hat keine leichte Aufgabe vor sich, weil ausgerechnet heute der Beschwerdetag für die Dorfbewohner ansteht.

Maeva will ihr Geschäft ankurbeln und Hochzeitsbankette anbieten. Zu diesem Zweck soll ein Werbe-Hochzeitsvideo gedreht werden. Die Hauptdarsteller sind Maeva selbst und Onkel Patrick. Ramana vollzieht jedoch ein echtes Hochzeitsritual und die beiden sind nun wirklich miteinander verheiratet.
