Fifty-three years ago, Francine Kettleman was found dead in a cemetery fifty miles from Gull Island. Her body was found in a graveyard and most believe she was the fourth victim of the Silk Stalking Strangler, a mass murderer credited with killing thirteen women over a ten-month period from 1964 to 1965.

Syd has settled into her new home at the resort just in time for a good old fashion Thanksgiving, but before she can leave the stress of her old life behind, she must first complete one final interview relating to Conrad Baker, the serial killer whose actions sent her running to Shipwreck Island in the first place.

In this first book in the series, a longtime local, Tim Maverick, sends his old friend Harley Medford a letter with a photo stating that if he should turn up dead at some point in the near future, the man in the photo is the one who killed him. When Tim is found dead only two weeks later, Harley comes to Rescue to find the man he is convinced killed Tim. He hears that Harmony has a reputation for finding people, so he enlists her help. The journey to find the truth behind Tim's untimely death will take Harmony on a journey of discovery she never saw coming.

In book 5, Harmony’s visions are becoming more frequent and they are becoming more intense. It seems they are starting to hurt her but no matter how hard she tries she can't seem to escape them. She can’t sleep and often has headaches. There is one vision specifically that is haunting her nights so she sets out with Houston to find the answers she needs to hopefully stop the nightmares.

Christmas arrives early in Rescue, Alaska, as the search-and-rescue team is tasked with finding a missing Santa. With a new mystery to solve and a holiday decorating contest to bring light to the long days of winter, the town is steeped in holiday cheer until a surprising murder puts a damper on the annual festivities. Meanwhile, Harmony tries to help Houston find the Christmas spirit, while Harley is surprised by a visitor from the north.

His pulse quickened as they approached. He’d waited so long. Too long. He closed his eyes and reveled in the memory, which did not come as a gentle wave, but as a surge of agony from the depths of his personal hell. He’d craved the searing pain, the deeply felt anguish. It was only during these moments, when he was sure that he would drown in a river of grief, that he felt truly alive.

He watched the boy skipping rocks across the clear, still water. From the cover of dense forest he listened to the childish squeals of delight as the flat hard surface of the stone met the firm unyielding force of the lake. Each hop resulted in an ever widening web of rings, each ring, larger, yet less intense than that which came before. Life, he mused, was like those rings.

Rescue, Alaska is a small town in northern Alaska where visitors come to hike and ski. Harmony Carson is a lifelong resident who volunteers as a member of the local search and rescue team. Harmony has a unique gift which she often considers a curse. She is able to "see" the individuals she is meant to help rescue, and more often than not she can feel their fear and their pain as well.

The Bistro, which consists of a restaurant, bar, and live music platform, was exactly the sort of project Shelby needed to find her footing in the new life she was still trying to fit into. She knows she'll need help, so she enlists the help of new chef and frequent guest to The Inn at Holiday Bay, Amy Hogan, as well as part-time waitress and longtime local Nikki Peyton. Together with the staff and regular customers that seemed to have come with the place, Shelby is certain she'll be able to create something special.

If you love small towns, endearing relationships, food, animals, and a touch of murder, you will love this mystery series set in the small town of White Eagle, Montana. In book 10, Tess and Tony plan a secret wedding ceremony, Nona plans a visit, and Tess and Mike plan a face-to-face meeting with their father. In book 11, Tess fills in at the post office. While on route for the first time in a year, she discovers that her father has left her brother Mike with a baby. In book 12, Tony offers to pay for a televised ad promoting the haunted house, and Tess agrees to act as spokesperson.

In spite of the assurance of the villagers that the otherworldly pranksters will have their fun and then leave, the new owner of the Faulkner Castle hires Tony to come to Scotland and install a state-of-the-art security system. Tony doesn’t believe in ghosts, and the job seems like a perfect opportunity to take some time away from White Eagle, so he talks to Tess, and they agree to make the trip. Fun is had by all until Tess spots her dad in a local pub and realizes that something more than they originally thought might actually be going on.
