A day without laughter is a day wasted! Nobody understands every joke. When someone doesn’t “get it”, you can say,“I don’t get it either,” or say, “Do you want me to explain it, or do you want to figure it out on your own?” When someone gets the joke, they may moan and groan or laugh or say nothing. Anyone can tell jokes.

Tongue twisters are groups of words that may start with the same sound. You can have fun listening and doing tongue twisters. A tongue twister is also called alliteration.

My Pet Rattlesnake is an interactive story between storyteller and children. Feel free to adlib your own words. Usually, whatever the children say, the storyteller says something different. Do you want to hear about my pet dog, my pet cat, or my pet rattlesnake? (If students respond dog or cat, you say "Sadly, it ran away."
