    It's a pretty quiet week in the Alberta Premier League, but did have a chance to interview one of the league's young stars. We spoke with Isabelle Lachance, who plays forward for the Calgary Villains and the University of Saskatchewan Huskies.

    The AMSL quietly kicked off its season recently. We discuss some of the changes to the league in 2026.

  • Weekend Recap: Bring on the Whitecaps!

    Our weekend recap episode is a bit shorter than usual this week as the Calgary Wild had the week off. But there was an important Canadian Championship matchup between Cavalry FC and Pacific FC on Vancouver Island. The Cavs were victorious and will move on to the next round of the tournament. They will be facing the Vancouver Whitecaps in July. We review the Cavs vs Pacific matchup and talk a bit about the scheduling of the next round. And we discuss the likelihood of the legend Thomas Müller playing at Spruce Meadows.

    The Alberta Premier League had a full slate of action this past weekend. Fraser Aird made his Calgary Foothills debut vs Cavalry II and scored the winning goal. The Wild U23 won again with a lineup of some very impressive names. Blizzard went up to St. Albert to play the Impact to renew that rivalry. We discuss these all of the matches that happened on Friday and Saturday.

    We talk about the Canadian Championship in this episode, as two Calgary based teams are involved this week. We review the Calgary Blizzard's match vs CF Montreal in the Canadian Championship. Cavalry FC goes to Vancouver Island to play Pacific FC and we provide a preview. A victory for the Cavs would result in them playing a two legged series vs the Vancouver Whitecaps in July.

    Our interview this week is with Cavalry FC's Adam Pearlman. He talks about what it's like to get loaned out to another club, why he's playing more right back than centre back this season, and his goals for this season and beyond.

    The Alberta Premier League shifts into full gear this week as most teams will be playing matches on Friday or Saturday. We preview this weekend's matches.

  • Weekend Recap: Late Penalty Lifts Cavs, Wild Concede 5 in Ottawa

    We review matches that happened over the past weekend including:

    Cavalry FC made their first visit to Montreal to play Supra and grabbed all three points, thanks to a late penalty by Tobias Warschewski. We talk about our impression of Supra, the video review reversals, and how the table is shaping up.

    The Calgary Wild were also on the road as they travelled to Ottawa. They lost 5-2 in a match where both sides had a lot of goal scoring opportunities. After two matches, we are noticing some concerning trends, particularly at the back. We discuss this as well as the injury situation where 8 players are out of action and it's only the second week of the season.

    The Alberta Premier League season kicked off on Friday. Jason gives a report from the Cavalry II vs Villains match at SAIT. We briefly review all of the other matches as well.

    The Calgary Wild opened their season with a 2-0 loss to Montreal at snowy McMahon Stadium last weekend. We review the match, discuss the club's lengthy injured list and preview this weekend's match in Ottawa.

    Cavalry FC played Inter Toronto FC to a 1-1 draw at Spruce Meadows last weekend. We talk about that match and the club's upcoming trip to Montreal where they will take on the Supra for the first time ever.

    The Alberta Premier League kicks off on Friday with home matches for the Wild U21 at the Calgary Soccer Centre and Cavalry II at SAIT. There have been an avalanche of player announcements this week. We take a look at some of the names that caught our attention.

She also discusses their preseason tour to the UK, new players on the team and her expectations for this season.

    Cavalry FC is back at Spruce Meadows on Saturday afternoon where they face the rebranded squad now known as Inter Toronto. We preview this match and also review last weekend's 0-0 draw in Hamilton vs Forge FC.

    The Alberta Premier League schedule dropped this week. The first matches of the season are on May 1. We review a few new signings for Calgary based teams.

    We also discuss the possible need to close and relocate the soccer dome in the northwest as it may be in the way of a new water treatment plant. And the CMSA season starts this week.
