The psalmist models a dependence on God to teach, lead, incline, and revive him through His Word. It shows that Scripture is not merely to be studied but to be internalized and lived out. A life shaped by God’s Word is ultimately a life surrendered to God’s work.

The colonial fathers were convinced that God was directing the course of human events and, as a result, they acted with boldness to change history.
