  • Killed Just Steps From Home : Episode 499
    Apr 9 2026

The story this week returns to Paisley, near Glasgow. It had been a great day for Laura Connelly as she caught up with some old school friends she hadn't see for a while at the bar, and at approaching 2am, she left to walk the mile or so to her home. But tragically, Laura didn't ever come home as she was attacked and murdered almost in sight of her home.

In this episode of the UK true Crime Podcast I look at just what happened to Laura and follow the police investigation to find her killer.

I release episodes of the UK True Crime Podcast every Tuesday and Friday, so please do join me for the next episode - number 500 - on Tuesday.

  • Always True Crime Monthly – Paranormia [Amazon Music Exclusive]
    Apr 8 2026

Always True Crime Monthly, is an Amazon Music exclusive bonus episode from Adam Lloyd, host of UK True Crime. Each month, Adam takes us behind the scenes of the Always True Crime Network, spotlighting one of the many gripping shows and speaking to the creators behind them.

In this episode, Adam sits down with Elizabeth McCafferty and Mansi Vithlani from the new Paranormia.

Paranormia sees true crime collide with the supernatural, the psychological, and the macabre. It explores those cases that sit in the grey area… where not everything can be neatly explained.

Living in the UK myself and being fascinated by true crime, this is exactly the podcast I need to hear about it. Well done guys!

Brilliant show!

I'm new to this podcast and pleasantly surprised. As many "fans" of the genre - I'm not sure if fans is the right word - I find true crime fascinating, I detest the "exciting" delivery style on many a Netflix documentary that glamourises the crime and/or perpetrator.

In contrast, this podcast looks at at the details of the crimes covered in a much more measured tone and Adam always takes time to remind the listener of the victims and their loved ones.

He praises and admonishes the police as appropriate to the specific case. This is unusual as many I have heard will make excellent police work sound surprising.

I love the musical and historical context given at the start of each episode.

The advertisements were a bit of a shock as I usually listen to audiobooks and podcasts without them but I'm steadily working my way through them so it can't be that off-putting!

I first came across this podcast on Spotify which was great for me but finding it here just makes me want to listen to every episode again!
I highly recommend if you are interested in true crime but prefer a short summary of cases, most episodes are 20 ish minutes so they're great for snapshots of events. Very easy listen!

A brilliant addition to my week
