  • Case 207: Theatre Royal Drury Lane: The Ghosts Who Never Miss Their Cue
    Jul 9 2026

Step inside Theatre Royal Drury Lane, one of London’s most famous and historic theatres, where the applause may fade, but the stories refuse to leave the stage.

In this episode of True Hauntings, Anne and Renata investigate the ghostly legends of Theatre Royal Drury Lane, a theatre with more than 350 years of drama, fire, fame, tragedy and superstition woven into its walls. From the mysterious Man in Grey, said to walk the upper circle before vanishing near the royal box, to the ghostly presence of performers like Dan Leno, Joseph Grimaldi and Charles Macklin, this is a haunting where the spirits seem less like intruders and more like permanent members of the company.

But where did these stories begin?

Was a skeleton really found behind a wall? Did a murdered man become the famous Man in Grey? Are the dressing room mirror sightings of Dan Leno genuine ghostly encounters, or the product of exhausted performers, theatrical folklore and a building designed to blur reality?

Anne and Renata pull back the curtain on one of Britain’s most enduring haunted theatre stories, looking at the legends, the reported encounters, the dubious beginnings, and the very human need to turn fear into tradition.

Because at Drury Lane, the ghosts are not just seen.

    They are expected.

  • Case 206: The Girl in the Closet: The Haunted Fairbanks House of Louisiana
    Jun 25 2026

What really happened inside the Haunted Fairbanks House of Sicily Island, Louisiana?

In this episode of True Hauntings, we investigate the disturbing story of the Fairbanks House, a historic Louisiana home now known for paranormal activity, ghost investigations, strange noises, shadow figures, alleged EVPs, and the chilling legend of “Henrietta’s Closet.”

The story centres on Henrietta Fairbanks, a young woman said to have suffered from epilepsy and seizures before her early death in 1922. Over time, her real life appears to have been reshaped into something darker: a tale of confinement, a haunted closet, and a ghost story that has become part of the house’s modern paranormal reputation.

But is the Fairbanks House truly haunted?

Or has Henrietta’s story been transformed by rumour, psychic claims, paranormal investigators, ghost-hunting television, YouTube investigations, and the business of haunted tourism?

Anne and Renata examine the history, the reported paranormal phenomena, the claims connected to The Dead Files episode “Bent on Revenge: Sicily Island, LA,” and the modern ghost stories surrounding the Haunted Fairbanks House. We look at the witness accounts, the investigation reports, the contradictions, and the way a tragic family story may have evolved into one of Louisiana’s most talked-about haunted house legends.

This is not just a ghost story. It is a case about illness, grief, folklore, paranormal storytelling, and what can happen when the life of a real woman becomes the centrepiece of a haunting.

Was Henrietta Fairbanks truly haunting the house?

Or are we looking at a constructed paranormal narrative built from history, rumour, suggestion, and spectacle?

Listen as we unpack the legend of The Girl in the Closet: The Haunted Fairbanks House of Louisiana.

  • Case 205: The Cideville Poltergeist: The Curse That Went to Court
    Jun 11 2026

In this episode of True Hauntings Podcast, we investigate the strange and unsettling case of The Cideville Poltergeist, one of France’s most unusual 19th-century paranormal mysteries.

In 1850, at a quiet presbytery in Cideville, Normandy, two boys studying under Curé Jean Tinel became the centre of a terrifying series of unexplained events: mysterious knocks in the walls, flying objects, moving furniture, musical raps, strange voices, and claims of a dark figure haunting the house.

But this was no ordinary ghost story.

The haunting soon turned into a legal battle when local shepherd Félix Thorel was accused of being connected to the disturbances through sorcery. Thorel denied the claims and sued the priest for defamation, turning the Cideville Poltergeist into a rare paranormal case that ended up in court.

Was this a genuine poltergeist haunting? Were the boys responsible for the activity? Was Thorel a sorcerer, a scapegoat, or simply the man the village chose to blame? And how did fear, religion, gossip, and reputation turn strange knocks in a priest’s house into one of France’s most fascinating haunted history cases?

Join us as we explore the priest, the shepherd, the two boys, and the curse that went to court.
