A big thank you and welcome to our three new Patreon members : Torquemada, Jess and Rachel.

    Let's do the scoring :

    • School's Out : Natasha won't lower herself to the Loxley.
    • Midwife Crisis : Kirsty + Kate = simply amazing.
    • Home Brewing : Adam continues to be an arse.

    May 23 2026

A big thank you and welcome to our seven new Patreon members : Caroline, Jo, Rachel, Louise, Justin, Dave, AND a much welcomed back, returning birthday girl, Zizi.

Very much a pod of two halves this week, as most of our pre-Friday record was despairing of the week in Ambridge up to that point.

However, as Keri suspected, all that changed on Friday evening.

So, we fired the mics back up on Saturday and gave the Home Farm board meeting the respect it deserves.

We'd like to raise the following :

    • Laurels and Hardass : Moving out doesn't grab Carol.
    • Land-ed gentry : Adam fails to ruin the life of Brian.
    • Bit Mental : ENOUGH with the PSA shite, please.

Join us this week as we rise and shine with a new brand of cereal, we discover what actually happened to Xander's banana and the Battling Bulls get catty on the outfield.

We'd like to invest shadily in the following :

    • Praise the Nord : Erik has Ambridge in creases.
    • Brad or Trad? : Amber views George's antisocials.
    • Craig's List : Ian manages to fail upwards. Again.

Couldn't agree more. You're so right. Thank goodness you said it first and said it better than anyone else could.

Interesting discussion of weeks events in Ambridge which often makes me smile ( or even laugh )

The Cider Shed Podcast is a weekly tonic (more for Patreons) — not just for Archers aficionados, but for anyone with a taste for irreverent intelligence and surrealist banter. Listening to Keri and Matthew is rather like eavesdropping on two old friends at the pub, albeit separated by geography and united by their quicksilver wit.

Unlike the staid, reverential tones adopted by more “respectable” Archers podcasts — all clipped vowels and cloying deference — The Cider Shed tears up the doily and runs riot through Ambridge with infectious energy. It is anarchic in the best possible way, deeply knowledgeable, and often riotously funny — so much so that one finds oneself chuckling in public like a madman or woman, drawing quizzical glances from the uninitiated.

The comedic alchemy between Keri and Matthew is unmistakable. Their repartee crackles with insight and eccentric charm, rendering each episode not merely a recap, but a richly entertaining dissection. You may well find yourself involuntarily quoting them at social gatherings, before realising — too late — that your family and friends haven’t the faintest idea what you’re on about.

In short: The Cider Shed is essential listening. But be warned — side effects may include unseemly laughter, social alienation, and, in extreme cases, the risk of being quietly sectioned by your more conventional friends.

A rare auditory delight.
