It is the starting point for a gift so profound and unspeakably beautiful that if everyone could experience the real and physically felt gifts of love and joy given by God in higher forms of contemplative prayer, the world would be on fire of want to love Him.

I thought the only way I could receive the gift of contemplative prayer beyond meditation and vocal prayer was to be a holier person. I thought that God wanted me to be more perfect, to sell everything and become a nun before he would reach out to me in higher levels of prayer. It turns out. That is not the case. He wants you to start from where you are.

This episode may challenge your understanding of Catholic history, faith and practice, but it is essential in the battle. You can fight the enemy your way, but they know authority.
