There are a lot if opinions about SciFi writing. People in general read the things that are comforting to read so that they can escape life for an hour or two. Good SciFi isn't really that... it requires thought, id say. This guy has made it his life's work, and he's pretty much one of the best out there at filling the common ground between reader and author. Definitely one to listen to whether you agree or not.
