Summary

Just because you didn’t check 25 things off your list doesn’t mean your day wasn’t productive.

This week on Restructured, I’m unpacking our complicated relationship with productivity, especially the guilt that shows up when we aren’t constantly doing, accomplishing, cleaning, working, or crossing something off a list.

I talk through the pressure so many business owners, professionals, and high achievers feel to make every day a “10” on the intensity scale, and why rest, reset time, and slower days deserve just as much value as the busy ones.

In this episode, I discuss redefining productivity beyond the number of tasks completed, the guilt that can creep in during downtime, the hustle mindset that tells us we should always be doing more, and why a lighter calendar doesn’t mean we need to immediately fill the empty space.

I also share what Sunday mornings have started to look like for me, how I’m learning to give myself permission to reset, and the question I ask when I catch myself thinking, “I should be productive right now?”

The Question of the Week: “Why do I feel like I should be productive right now?”

If you’ve ever felt guilty for resting, struggled to enjoy a slow Sunday, or looked at a lighter workday and immediately felt the need to fill it, this episode is your reminder that productivity doesn’t have to mean constant motion. Sometimes, the most productive thing you can do is give yourself permission to reset.
