A couple of days ago, I (Brandon) was at work having a conversation with one of my principals about the upcoming year. Throughout our conversation, the same question kept coming up. Are teachers aware of the impact they are making? As we were talking about that and as the days followed, I kept coming back to this conversation that Diane and I had with Kara Vandas in 2022. We all know that in education, the pendulum swings (and sometimes those swings are out of control). I also know that teacher and student clarity is something that should never be attached to a pendulum. To make a long story short, this conversation can be listened to over and over again. If you were with us in 2022, I hope you catch something you didn't the first time. If you're new, we're glad you're here. I promise you'll take something away from this conversation. Lastly, thank you, Kara, for being someone in my career that has always pushed my thinking...for kids!
