Quiet Battles, Loud GraceWhere hidden wounds meet relentless grace.

Most people are carrying battles nobody sees.

The therapist trying not to burn out.
The worship leader smiling through anxiety.
The exhausted teacher running on fumes.
The high-achiever secretly unraveling underneath competence and responsibility.
The believer questioning faith while still showing up every Sunday pretending everything is fine.

Quiet Battles, Loud Grace is a podcast for people who are tired of fake-perfect spirituality, shallow conversations, and the pressure to always look emotionally okay.

Hosted by therapist, former worship pastor, and doctoral student Brent Dyer, this podcast explores the intersection of mental health, faith, relationships, leadership, trauma, burnout, emotional healing, and the hidden struggles many people quietly carry every day.

After spending more than twenty-five years in ministry and now leading a large counseling practice in Houston, Brent brings both clinical insight and lived experience into conversations that are honest, thoughtful, deeply human, and occasionally sarcastic enough to keep everybody emotionally hydrated.

This podcast exists to create space for the conversations many people desperately need but rarely feel safe enough to have out loud.

You’ll hear episodes about:

  • Burnout and emotional exhaustion
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Church hurt and spiritual abuse
  • Trauma and the nervous system
  • Relationships and marriage struggles
  • Addiction and shame
  • Leadership pressure
  • Emotional immaturity
  • Identity and self-worth
  • Faith crises and healing
  • Grace, honesty, and rebuilding your life after things fall apart

Some episodes are educational. Some are personal.
Some are interviews with pastors, therapists, leaders, and people with powerful stories.
Some will make you laugh unexpectedly during conversations about really hard things...because sometimes humor is part of survival.

But at the core of every episode is one simple belief:

You do not have to pretend to heal.

Whether you’re a CEO, therapist, worship leader, parent, creative, helper, or just a tired human being trying to survive life with your faith and sanity somewhat intact… you belong here.

Because the quiet battles are rarely as isolated as they feel.

And grace still has a way of finding people in the middle of the mess.

Welcome to Quiet Battles, Loud Grace.
