  • Pillow Fort - Episode 43 - Male Parking Emotions & Twitter Noise
    May 2 2026

In this episode Roo and Aimee dive into the surprisingly intense emotions that some men have about parking. Parallel parking, backing into spaces, judging other people’s parking jobs — somehow it’s all tied to masculinity. Roo and Aimee attempt to unpack why a slightly crooked parking job can trigger a full internal crisis for certain guys. Is it pride? Is it territorial instinct? Is it just dads everywhere whispering “you can do better than that”?

Roo also shares a recent moment of confusion when she thought she heard the iconic Twitter notification sound… only to realize it was actually a bird outside her house. The real twist? The podcast now has 20 followers, so honestly it could have gone either way. Roo is choosing to believe the bird might have been a fan.

Meanwhile, Roo continues her ongoing battle with a broken closet door that refuses to stay upright. Despite knowing it’s unstable, she keeps accidentally knocking it over with her butt while walking by. At this point the door is less a piece of furniture and more a recurring character in her daily life.

  • Pillow Fort - Episode 42 - Moroccan Spa Trip & Tropical Fruit
    Apr 25 2026

This week in the fort Roo recounts her recent visit to a Moroccan spa where she was scrubbed from head to toe by a lady without being able to communicate much because of a language barrier. Roo is still unsure what the proper etiquette is when someone you just met is aggressively exfoliating you and gently cradling you at the same time.

Meanwhile, Aimee shares her long-standing issue with tropical fruit. Mango, papaya, guava — her mouth simply does not understand what is happening. She insists it’s not a personality flaw, but a legitimate sensory problem where her brain cannot decide if the fruit is delicious, suspicious, or actively trying to confuse her. Roo argues that this is a psychological and cultural issue, while Aimee maintains that tropical fruit simply has “too many vibes.”

  • Pillow Fort - Episode 41 - Dog Walk Fall and Well Meaning Whites
    Apr 4 2026

Welcome back to the fort! In this episode Roo and Aimee discuss the dangers of doing something as simple as walking the dog. Roo shares the harrowing tale of a recent fall that resulted in spilled coffee, wounded pride, and a body that is apparently no longer built for sudden contact with the pavement. She insists she’s fine but also may never emotionally recover from losing the coffee.

Meanwhile, Aimee grapples with a very modern dilemma: wanting to talk about the Bad Bunny halftime show with her non-white friends but also not wanting to be the well-meaning white lady who turns someone’s group chat into a cultural anthropology discussion. She debates whether asking thoughtful questions is allyship or just deeply awkward.

  • Pillow Fort - Episode 40 - Fake History Movies & Vaping
    Mar 28 2026

We are back with a new episode of Pillow Fort! In this episode Roo and Aimee talk about movies that revise history like when Quentin Tarantino pretends that WWII and the Manson Murders happened completely differently. Aimee mentions that she's confused as to why vampires were not in Daniel Day Lewis's Abraham Lincoln movie.

Aimee shared gripes about vaping and Roo feels strongly about it. Sure, this part of the episode fails the Bechdel test but it's OUR LIFE. Roo is also hypocritical because she is always fiending for a cigarette. Aimee thinks Winston's smell like farts.

  • Pillow Fort - Episode 38 - Sushi and Kids Not Wanting to Trick-or-Treat with Their Parents Anymore
    Nov 2 2025

This week in the fort, tensions run high when Aimee and Roo kick things off arguing about drinking the night before—but harmony is quickly restored once Roo reveals her freshly straightened, impossibly shiny hair. (She’s found the magic of the flat iron.) Mid-episode, Roo’s boyfriend delivers an actual sushi boat, leading the duo into a deep dive on the miracle and menace of sushi: one bite is bliss, the next could be regret.

Meanwhile, Aimee gets a little emotional—it’s the first year her kid didn’t want to trick-or-treat with her. Roo and Aimee reminisce about the highs and horrors of their own childhood Halloweens, from the best candy hauls to the worst costume disasters.

It’s funny, heartfelt, and just a little raw—don’t miss this one, especially since it’s the second-to-last episode of the season!
