  • Being Prepared to Fight Spiritual Warfare with Dr. Karl Payne and The Prayer Experiment with Pastor Matt Smallbone
    May 4 2026

Today, we begin "Preparation Week" on Karl and Crew. Are we prepared to fight spiritual battles? Great discussion and insight with Dr. Karl Payne, pastor, teacher, author, and renowned apologist. He is the author of "Spiritual Warfare: Christians, Demonization, and Deliverance." Dr. Payne is also the founder of the Transferable Cross Training Foundation. Lead Pastor of Church in the City (Nashville) and former bass player, Matt Smallbone, talks about his new book, "The Prayer Experiment: How Praying Like Jesus Realigns Everything." He shared his experience of intentionally praying the Lord's Prayer every day for a year. Finally, our best preparation in battle is the Armor of God! • Made to Maginify with Morgan Krueger & Filling Your Kids Free Time with Purpose with Dr. Elizabeth Smith
    May 1 2026

Today, on Karl and Crew, we wrapped up our weekly theme of “What are you looking for?” with Morgan Krueger, who discussed the importance of keeping God the focal point and giving Him glory always, not taking it for ourselves. Morgan is a wife, mother, speaker, and author who found her voice connecting with women seeking biblical freedom from the brokenness of shame. Morgan has also written a book called “Made to Magnify: Choosing to Live for Jesus When Everything Tells You to Live for Yourself.” Then we had Dr. Elizabeth Smith join us to discuss what we should be doing in our free time and how to intentionally fill it, as well as our kids' free time. She also spoke about available classes through Moody Online. Dr. Smith is the Associate Dean of Academics for Moody Online and the Program Head of Children and Family Ministry. She is also a Professor for Moody Online and on the Chicago campus. You can hear the highlights of today's program on the Karl and Crew Showcast. • Biblical Alignment with Dr. Adam Rasmussen & From Atheism to a Believer with York Moore
    Apr 30 2026

Today, on Karl and Crew, we continued our weekly theme, "What are you looking for?" We had York Moore join us to share how his search for meaning as an atheist college student led him to Christ, and why he believes this generation is hungry for Jesus in a powerful way. York is the President, CEO, and National Evangelist of the Coalition for Christian Outreach. He is a gifted speaker, revivalist, and author of several books, including Do Something Beautiful. Dr. Adam Rasmussen joined us to explain why many lack biblical alignment between what they believe and how they live, and how discipleship can help close that gap. Dr. Rasmussen is a fellow at the Cultural Research Center and Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities at Arizona Christian University. With over three decades in Christian education, he has taught on biblical literacy, apologetics, and worldview formation, helping connect faith, reason, and culture. We then turned to the phone lines to hear from our listeners. We asked the question, “How did you go from ‘Spiritual but not religious’ to a follower of Jesus Christ?” You can hear the highlights of today’s program on the Karl and Crew Showcast.
