  • The FTD Brothers - Jordan Adams
    Jun 8 2026
It's Week 6 of our "Here Comes The Run" series and this episode is a very special and emotional one. Paula and Thommo talk to the running inspiration Jordan Adams who is one half of The FTD Brothers - the one that carries a fridge around his marathons! Jordan and his brother Cian run in memory of their mum who was diagnosed with ‘Early-Onset’ Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) before she sadly passed away on 14th March 2016 at the age of 52. However, their story doesn't end there, and Jordan tells us how when he and his brother were also diagnosed with this disease, Jordan decided to use the power of knowing what lies ahead to take action in the form of raising awareness as a community speaker and fundraising through his running - he's done marathons, ultras and even attempted 982 laps of an athletics track in the depths of winter! We learn about Jordan's incredible story and how he sacrificed his career as an amateur footballer and painting & decorating to advocate for FTD. Have a listen to this episode to hear so much more from this incredible person. If you would like to donate and get them to the £2 million mark then head to their websitehttps://theftdbrothers.com/pages/donate We are going to keep that marathon theme going over the next few weeks.
