  • #352 - Living with 'Cancer' (Laureline Garcia-Bertaux & Kirill Belorusov)
    Jun 11 2026

Back in 2019, the ground floor flat at 4 Darell Road in Kew was home to 34-year-old Laureline Garcia-Bertaux, a busy singleton working in the media who had big plans of being a creative success, and was striving to make it happen.

She had a good job, a busy social life, she was liked, and she was popular. By the March, she was about to begin (what she believed or maybe hoped) was a fresh start by moving to a new flat. Yet, something was eating away at her, a sickness that pervaded her life, and a terminal disease which could never be cured, but this wasn’t a virus which festered within, it was all around her, and it had been for a decade.

    • Location: Ground Floor Flat, 4 Darell Road, Kew, Richmond, TW4
    • Date: Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd of March 2019
    • Victims: Laureline Garcia-Bertaux
    • Culprit: Kirill Belorusov

  • #351 - The Ghost of 'Veronique' (Soho, 1940-42)
    Jun 4 2026

In the spring of 1942, a young French girl known only as ‘Veronique’ vanished from the streets of Soho. No-one knew her real name, where she came from, or how she had got there, but she had lived and worked as a prostitute for almost two years, and then having tried to escape, she vanished. Her disappearance is as much of a mystery as her life, or identity.

Unlike others episodes of Murder Mile, this was compiled over a decade from the reminiscences of those who knew her or knew of her, therefore not everything should be taken as fact. Memories are subjective, and over time, the accuracy fades, and details are shifted, rearranged or adapted to suit a bias or perspective, so all that remains is a mystery.

    • Location: Rupert Street (number unknown), Soho, London, W1
    • Date: 1940 to 1942
    • Victims: ‘Veronique’

Enjoy the way he tells the story. He remembers the victims and shows them as real people. He does his research and it shows.

...Micheal's quirky presentation style, which at first sounded ill placed, or even just ill!
But no, it's fantastic, warm, chatty, hilarious, a touch Rik Mayall, and so very polished.
Some very funny turns of phrase and asides but most fantasticly descriptive. The research is another level, subject choices gripping, and delivery wonderful.
Cannot recommend highly enough.

The very thing I thought would irritate me is the very thing that has endeared me to the show...

I first came across Murder Mile podcasts on Amazon Music. They are extremely addictive. Michael is so talented and funny- especially on the the Extra Mile. I can’t recommend it enough if you’re a fan of true crime.

Just Outstanding

What can I say 10/10, 5*'s 👏 🤩
This is one of the best Podcasts I have ever listened too.
The research and time of some of these cases that we the public have never heard of before.
So interesting, the way he describes the scene in all different parts of London. Some places still exist some are now different dwellings some have disappeared totally.
The knowledge he has makes him one clever gentleman who lives on a boat, who's humour and he talks about food, drink and diets.
Only bit I do get confused about, (my error in not reading more) Is he actually in a relationship? As she sounds a right pain??
Have been following for over a year now.
He responds very quickly if you message him. I miss out on competitions as I am a bit behind in episodes.

regards
Andrea Stubbington

You will be AMAZED!! The scenes of crime are described in so much detail you think you are actually there.
