  • Proposed rate increases for SAWS, property taxes

    This week On The Record with Randy Beamer, Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones discusses the proposed SAWS rate increase and why she feels it is needed, plans for a proposed property tax increase, and a letter sent to the Spurs management group to collect on millions of dollars promised to the city.

    Then, District 10 Councilman Marc Whyte talks with Randy on that proposed property tax increase for residents, as well as how his taxpayer impact statement works.

    On Reporter’s Roundtable, Nancy Preyor-Johnson, Senior Reporter with the Express-News, discusses her story on a San Antonio doctor speaking out about an incident at a national diabetes convention where doctors were thrown out after handing out flyers critical of cuts to the NIH.
