The Woman of Tomorrow is here! Don’t believe ANY of the negative junk you’ve heard out there cause this movie is stellar! Milly Alcock is awesome as Kara Zor-El, Eve Ridley is delightful as Ruthye Marye Knoll, and let’s face it Jason Mamoa was born to be Lobo. This movie is a ton of fun and great introduction to Supergirl. Loosely based off what many consider to be the definitive Supergirl story by Tom King, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. “In the chill of night, at the scene of a crime, like a streak of light, He arrives just in time!” A classic line from the 1967 Spider-Man cartoon could easily be describing Ben Reilly. Hard-boiled detective by day, web-slinging vigilante known as “The Spider” by night. Spider-Noir on Prime Video gives us a live action look at the Spider-Noir character first seen in Into the SpiderVerse and it returns Nicholas Cage who voiced the character in the lead role. We see a 1930s NYC post WW1 and without a hero in a time of need. Sounds like a time and place for a Spider-Man or The Spider! We’re discussing the series with full spoilers! Fitting for today’s subject, Scott Free and his alter ego MISTER MIRACLE. If you haven’t heard of him well strap in! After our discussion about how Jack Kirby’s 4th World influenced the 1987 MotU it reminded us of the awesomeness of his characters, one of them being Mister Miracle and there’s no better story than the one by Tom King to introduce him with.
